What we like, and what we don’t
Worth having
- No foreign transaction fee at all
- Up to 5 times the base rate on travel booked through Keep Travel
- 4 times the base rate on international spending on the entry plan
- Three employee cards included
- No personal guarantee required
Watch out for
- There is no free tier. The cheapest plan is CA$79 a month, so about CA$948 a year
- Comparison sites listing this as a $0 annual fee card are misleading, and we would rather say so
- Not available to businesses or residents in Quebec, stated twice on Keep's own site
- The 50,000 point welcome bonus requires the CA$199 a month Max plan
- Keep publishes no purchase interest rate

The earning fine print
Core plan (CA$79/mo): 1x base, 4x on international spend, no bonus categories. Plus (CA$119/mo) and Max (CA$199/mo): 1.5x base, 3x dining and international, 5x on travel booked through Keep Travel. Keep states 'no cap' on rewards. The earn_base/dining/travel values above are the Plus/Max rates; on Core the base is 1x and international is 4x.
The welcome offer

What the offer actually requires

What the benefits really mean
Genuine credit product, not prepaid: Keep's site states it extends 'credit limits that match your traction, not your credit score' with 'up to 10X higher limits' and separately up to CA$1M in financing; no prefunding is required. It is however a CHARGE-style card. 'Keep is fee-free when your balance is paid at the end of each statement period', with statement-extension plans at extra cost, so there is no ordinary purchase APR. Fee-free days vary by plan: Core up to 31, Plus up to 38, Max up to 56. PERSONAL GUARANTEE: Keep's pricing page states 'No personal guarantee' for high-limit approval. REVENUE / FUNDING REQUIREMENT: no numeric minimum revenue, funding or time-in-business threshold is published. THE REAL COST IS THE SUBSCRIPTION, NOT AN ANNUAL FEE: Core CA$79/month (CA$948/yr), Plus CA$119/month (CA$1,428/yr), Max CA$199/month (CA$2,388/yr), month-to-month, cancel anytime. 0% FX on all plans. Interac payments: Plus 1 free/month then 1.5%; Max 3 free/month then 1.5%. International wires: Plus 1 free/month, Max 3 free/month, then $15 each. Application takes ~8 minutes with approval in 72 hours or less. NOT AVAILABLE IN QUEBEC. Free employee cards: Unlimited physical and virtual cards on all plans, but plans cap USERS: Core = up to 3 users, Plus = up to 10 users, Max = unlimited users. Issued by Peoples Trust Company. There is no annual fee but there is no free tier either. The cheapest way to hold this card is CA$948/year (Core). Comparison sites that list it as a '$0 annual fee' card are misleading. Not available to residents or businesses in Quebec. Stated twice on Keep's own site. Core plan is capped at 3 users and earns only 1x base; the advertised 1.5x/3x/5x rates require Plus or Max. The 50,000-point welcome bonus is Max-plan-only, i.e. It costs CA$2,388/year in subscription to access. Charge-card settlement: balance must clear each statement period or you pay for a statement-extension plan. Pricing of those extension plans is not published. Peoples Trust also issues prepaid programs; verify at application that you are on the credit product.
Our verdict
The zero foreign transaction fee and the 4x international rate are a real combination for a business spending abroad, and no personal guarantee is a meaningful difference from every bank card here. If your business is spending enough for a monthly platform fee to disappear into the rounding, it is worth a look.
The pricing is the reason for the rating. Keep has no annual fee in the sense that there is no annual fee line, and it also has no free way to hold the card: CA$79 a month is the entry point, CA$948 a year. That is more than any card in this comparison charges, and listing it as free, as several comparison sites do, is simply wrong. Quebec businesses cannot get it at all.
