What the benefits really mean
Insurance: car rental collision damage waiver, car rental accidental death/dismemberment, personal effects insurance, purchase assurance and extended warranty. No travel medical, no trip cancellation. Same 16.99% variable rate across purchases, cash advances and balance transfers as the other Servus business cards. PROVINCE: Servus operates in Alberta only. Free employee cards: 0. Every additional card is $75 per year. This card is strictly dominated by Servus's own Business No Fee Mastercard: identical 16.99% purchase rate, but this one costs $75/year plus $75 per employee card. There is no published reason to choose it. Every employee card costs $75. No rewards, no travel medical, no trip cancellation. Alberta only; requires Servus membership.
Our verdict
This card is dominated by its own sibling. Servus's Business No Fee Mastercard carries the same 16.99% rate on purchases, costs nothing, and charges nothing for employee cards. This one costs $75 plus $75 per employee card for the same rate.
The only difference we could find is a slightly wider insurance list: rental car collision and personal effects cover that the free card does not carry. If those specific coverages matter to you, that is the case. For everyone else, take the free one. We rate cards on what a reader should actually do, and here the answer is unusually clear.
